PURPOSE OF THE POLICY
This privacy policy explains how Alchimia Aquatics collects, uses, retains and shares the personal data of the users of the website www.alchimia-aquatics.ch.
Alchimia Aquatics processes personal data in accordance with the applicable Swiss legislation, in particular the Federal Act on Data Protection, FADP.

ORDER WITHOUT MANDATORY DATA
Certain information is necessary in order to conclude and perform an order, in particular the name, the delivery address, the email address and the information necessary for payment.
If the customer does not provide this information, Alchimia Aquatics may be unable to process or deliver their order.
The information indicated as optional may be left blank without preventing the use of the relevant service.
PAYMENTS
The payment methods offered on the website may be processed by external providers, in particular:
• SumUp, for certain card payments;
• TWINT, for payments made using the TWINT application;
• Klarna, when this solution is offered;
• the relevant banking institutions in the event of a transfer.

When a customer chooses Klarna, certain information may be transmitted to Klarna in order to verify their identity, assess their eligibility for the chosen payment method and prevent fraud. Klarna may carry out its own checks or assessments in accordance with its terms.
Alchimia Aquatics receives only the information necessary to confirm the payment, process the order and ensure the accounting follow-up.
DELIVERY
In order to ship orders, the necessary information may be transmitted to Swiss Post or to another selected carrier.
The data transmitted may in particular include:
• the surname and first name;
• the delivery address;
• the email address;
• the telephone number;
• the information necessary for tracking and delivering the parcel.
This information is used solely in connection with the organisation, tracking and delivery of the order.
WEBSITE HOSTING
The website www.alchimia-aquatics.ch is hosted with Infomaniak Network SA, in Switzerland.
As part of the hosting and technical operation of the website, certain data may be stored on Infomaniak’s infrastructures, in particular the data of the account, of the orders, of the forms, of the newsletter and the technical server logs.
Infomaniak processes this data as a technical provider in accordance with its own obligations regarding data protection and security.
NEWSLETTER
The user may voluntarily subscribe to the Alchimia Aquatics newsletter in order to receive news, information, advice or commercial offers.
The newsletter is managed by means of a tool directly integrated into the website and hosted on the infrastructure used by Alchimia Aquatics.
The data processed in this context may include:

RETENTION PERIOD
Personal data is retained only for the duration necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for compliance with legal obligations.
The data relating to orders, invoices and accounting may be retained for 10 years in accordance with the Swiss legal obligations.
The customer account data is retained as long as the account remains active or as long as it is necessary for the processing of orders and for compliance with legal obligations.
Contact requests are retained for the time necessary for the processing and follow-up of the request.
The data relating to the newsletter is retained until the user unsubscribes, subject to the limited retention of the information necessary to prove or comply with this unsubscription.
Technical and statistical data is retained for a duration adapted to its purpose and to the configuration of the relevant tools.
DATA SECURITY
Alchimia Aquatics implements appropriate technical and organisational measures in order to protect personal data against loss, unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction.
These measures may in particular include the encryption of communications, the restriction of access, the use of secure passwords, backups and technical updates.
No computer system, however, makes it possible to guarantee absolute security.

The website and the shop are not specifically intended to collect personal data from young children.
When an order or a registration requires the capacity to conclude a contract, the consent of the legal representative may be requested in accordance with the applicable law.
