Filtration & Pumps

Suitable filtration is essential to maintain healthy, clear and biologically balanced water. It retains visible waste, houses the bacteria useful for the nitrogen cycle and ensures good water circulation throughout the aquarium.

The Filtration & pumps category brings together internal and external filters, water pumps, circulation pumps and the accessories needed for their installation and maintenance. The choice depends in particular on the volume of the aquarium, its population, the amount of waste produced and the desired flow rate.

A lightly stocked planted aquarium will not have the same needs as a tank housing large fish or particularly messy species. The flow rate indicated by the manufacturer should therefore be considered together with the usable volume of the filter, the filter media used and the loss of power caused by the tubing.

Alchimia Aquatics offers you a selection of aquarium filters and pumps designed to maintain steady circulation and effective filtration. Find solutions suited to small setups as well as large-volume aquariums.
