Tetra EX Plus external filter – EX 700, EX 1000 and EX 1500
Powerful, quiet and easy-to-maintain external filtration for clear and healthy water. The Tetra EX Plus filters combine mechanical, biological and chemical filtration in a complete, ready-to-install unit. Available in three power ratings for aquariums from 100 to 600 litres.
The Tetra EX Plus external filters are high-performance filters designed to keep the water in freshwater aquariums clean, healthy and perfectly filtered.
Its multi-stage filtration system circulates the water through different filter media in order to remove visible waste, fine particles and undesirable substances. It also offers a large colonisation surface for the beneficial bacteria essential to the biological balance of the aquarium.
Each model is supplied as a complete kit with its filter media pre-installed. The priming button makes it easy to start the filter, while the integrated valves allow the flow rate to be precisely adjusted to the needs of the aquarium and its inhabitants.
The swivelling connectors, the quick-disconnect safety valves and the filter baskets with handles make installation and maintenance particularly convenient. The pre-filtration function retains part of the coarse waste before it reaches the main filter media.

Alchimia tip:
To benefit from even circulation and keep a comfortable filtration margin, choose your model taking into account the volume of the aquarium, but also its population.
A heavily populated aquarium, housing large fish or producing a lot of waste, may require the larger model.
The maximum pump flow rate is measured under optimal conditions. Once the filter is installed with its hoses and filter media, the actual flow rate in operation is naturally lower.
