JBL Sansibar White 10 kg – Fine white aquarium sand

JBL Sansibar White 10 kg is a natural, fine white sand designed to furnish freshwater aquariums, marine aquariums and aquaterrariums. Its light shade brightens the décor and shows off plants, shrimp and the colours of the fish particularly well.

Its fine, rounded grains, with a grain size of roughly 0.2 to 0.6 mm, protect the sensitive barbels of bottom-dwelling fish. It is particularly suitable for Corydoras, loaches and other species that like to sift through the substrate.

Use:

Spread the sand over the bottom of the aquarium. For a planted aquarium, JBL recommends a total layer of around 6 to 8 cm and the use of a nutrient substrate beneath the Sansibar White to feed the roots.

The sand is pre-washed, but rinsing it with clean water before installation is still recommended to remove the dust produced during transport. Then fill the aquarium gently to avoid stirring up the substrate.

Important information:

JBL Sansibar White is a natural decorative substrate and not a complete nutrient substrate. It is rather not recommended with a bottom heating cable due to its very fine grain size.
